Frequently asked questions

What is an accumulator bet?

An accumulator (or 'acca') combines multiple selections into a single bet where every leg must win for the slip to pay out. The odds of each leg are multiplied together, so a four-fold of selections each priced 1.70 produces combined odds of approximately 8.35 — turning a £10 stake into £83.50 if every leg lands.

How many selections should an accumulator have?

Doubles, trebles and four-folds are the sweet spot for most disciplined bettors. At average odds of 1.70 per leg, a double wins around 35% of the time, a treble 20%, and a four-fold 12%. Beyond five legs you're effectively buying a lottery ticket — six-folds win less than 5% of the time even with strong individual picks.

Why does each extra leg roughly halve my win probability?

Multiplying probabilities compounds variance. If each leg has a 60% chance to win, two legs combined drop to 36%, three legs to 22%, four legs to 13%. That's why our advice is to stop adding legs at the point where the marginal payout increase no longer compensates for the dropping win rate.

What's the biggest mistake people make with accumulators?

Stacking correlated legs in the same match — for example, 'Over 2.5 goals' with 'Both Teams To Score' on one fixture. You're paying the bookmaker twice for essentially the same outcome. UK bookmakers know this and price 'Bet Builder' singles accordingly; combining them yourself in an acca just hands them margin. Use one selection per match unless you're on a dedicated bet-builder market.

Should I use acca insurance offers?

Treat them as a small marginal bonus, not a strategy. Most acca insurance offers refund a five-fold (or larger) as a free bet — not cash — when one leg loses, with qualifying odds of 1.40+ per leg and a refund cap, typically £10. The maths usually means you need to cycle the offer 2–3 times just to break even on stake. Check the full T&Cs alongside the welcome offers on our free bets page before building around an insurance promo.

When are your accumulator tips published?

Daily by 4am UK time, covering the day's best fixtures across the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the EFL.

Are your accumulator tips free?

Yes — every accumulator on this page is free. Accumulators sit in our Fun Bets lane (entertainment picks, not part of our public ROI ledger). Higher-conviction multi-leg picks with full reasoning are available to VIP members.

Are accumulators part of your tracked record?

No. Accumulators are clearly badged as Fun Bets — entertainment picks excluded from our public ROI, strike-rate and profit-and-loss record. Our tracked record is built from singles where we measure edge against the bookmaker's price. See the results page for verified value-bet performance.

How do I build my own accumulator?

Use the interactive Acca Builder at the top of this page to add today's tips to a slip and watch the odds multiply in real time. For combinations not in today's selections, our standalone Acca Calculator lets you enter any legs and odds to work out potential returns.
