How we pick — five steps, in order

  1. Fixture screen. Day's fixture list pulled from API-Football. Only top-tier European leagues, the English pyramid, major UEFA/FIFA competitions and selected internationals make the shortlist. Reserve sides, friendlies and low-information leagues are excluded.
  2. Inputs: form, xG, H2H, real odds. Each shortlisted match is scored on recent form (last 5–10 matches, home/away split), rolling Expected Goals (xG for/against), head-to-head over the last 5 meetings, and live bookmaker market odds (API-Football bet365 mainline). Sharp-odds reference points (Pinnacle-style) validate the line where coverage exists.
  3. Value & edge calculation. Projected probability is compared with implied probability from the verified market odds. A pick only progresses when our calculated edge clears the category-specific floor — higher floors for accumulator legs and longshot picks than for singles.
  4. Confidence → staking. Confidence (0–100) is assigned by the editor at publication. Stake is read off a published 0.25u–3u confidence × odds grid — the same grid for free, Expert and VIP picks. No discretionary stake bumps. Maximum 2 Expert Picks per match per day, each on a different prediction.
  5. Publication standard. Every pick is locked at publication and cannot be silently edited or deleted. Settlement is automated from API-Football final scores; voids and corrections are timestamped internally.
