How King's Top Tips creates, fact-checks, publishes and corrects football and horse racing betting predictions — covering named authors, real verified odds, transparent tracked results and our independence from bookmaker influence.

How King's Top Tips picks are made

Every football tip published on this site goes through the same five-step editorial process. The order matters; skipping any step disqualifies the pick.

  1. Fixture screen. Match selected from a whitelist of top-tier European, English and major international competitions. Reserve teams, friendlies and low-information leagues are excluded by default.
  2. Real-odds verification. Bookmaker market odds are pulled from a live data feed (API-Football bet365 mainline). Selections are rejected if the offered price drifts more than 5% from the verified market on insert.
  3. Value rating. Our team's projected probability is compared against the implied probability of the verified odds. Only matchups with a positive edge above the category-specific floor proceed.
  4. Confidence + stake assignment. Confidence (0–100) drives stake size through the published 0.25u–3u grid. Maximum 2 Expert Picks per match per day, each on a different prediction.
  5. Tracking commitment. Every value pick is flagged is_tracked = true and locked. Once published it cannot be deleted, edited or excluded from the public ROI ledger.

What goes into the ROI ledger

Headline ROI on the results page includes both value picks (strict +EV) and research-tier Expert picks (analyst-grade qualitative selections). Daily Fun Bets and score predictions are intentionally excluded — they're labelled separately so the tipster ROI you see reflects only graded, methodology-driven selections.

Corrections, voids and disputes

If a pick is settled incorrectly we re-grade publicly with the timestamp of the correction. Matches abandoned or postponed beyond 24 hours are voided. We do not silently delete losing tips. Contact our editorial desk if you spot a settlement issue.

Independence

King's Top Tips earns affiliate commission from listed UK-licensed bookmakers. Affiliate relationships have no influence on which selections we publish, what stakes we recommend, or how results are tracked. We never promote unlicensed operators.
