Goodwood is a Flat course on the South Downs. It is undulating, with sharp turns and fast downhill stretches, plus a straight course for sprints. Its character rewards handy, well-balanced horses.
The Qatar Goodwood Festival, known as Glorious Goodwood, runs from late July into early August and features the Sussex Stakes, the Goodwood Cup, the Nassau Stakes and the Stewards' Cup.
Racing runs from May to October, with the five-day festival at the end of July.
